Spin fluctuations in antiferromagnetic and nearly antiferromagnetic two dimen-sional (square lattice) itinerant electron systems, as a possible rnodel for high T. super-conductors, are investigated by using the self-consistent renormalization theory. Theelectrical resistivity and the nuclear spin relaxation rate due tc>the spin fluctuations inthe normal state are calculated. The results in the nearly antif'erromagnetic regime asapplied to high T. oxides seem to explain the experimental results both in their temper-ature dependence and in their orders of magnitudes. By usin)3 the same spin fluctualions we discuss superconductivity due to the spin fluctuatic>n mechanism within aweak coupling theory. The order parameter is shoxvn to have [3., or A., symmetry andthe critical temperature is evctluated to be of the ?=ight order of magnitude.[spin fluctuation, high T. superconductivity, electrical resistivity, nuclear spin ll relaxation, specific heat, theoryl
