In this paper, we calculate the kinetic energy of a holon-defect bound state in anRVB wave function. We evaluate lower order moments of the holon density of states.From this calculation, we find that a lowering of the kinetic energy occurs comparedto the undistorted RVB state.high-7'. superconductivity, Hubbard model, RVB state, holon, theory
