Spin Fluctuation-Induced Superconductivity in Two and Three Dimensional Systems

The strong coupling theory of unconventional superconductivity dtre to spin fluctuations aroundthe antiferromagnetic instability, previously developed for two dimensional (square lattice) sys-tems is extended to three dimensional (simple cubic lattice) systems. The values for T. arefound to be similar for the 2- and 3-dimensional systems provided the band widths and the spinfluctuation parameters take similar values. The dependences of T. on various pararneters areinvestigated. In both dimensions the valtre of T. is most sensitive to the frequency spread ofantiferromagnetic fltrctuations; the larger the frequency spread the higher T.. In the light ofthe present results a systematic scaling analysis is given for the values of T. for possible spinfluctuation-induced superconductors including high-'Z'. cuprates, heavy electron- and organicsupercondtnctors, etc.
