The effective mass of a Λ particle (M^*_ Λ) in nuclear matter is investigated within the framework of the lowest-order Brueckner theory by employing the Nijmegen OBE Λ-N interaction model D and F. The non-locality mass (M^^〜_ Λ) are evaluated and discussed in the light of the characteristics of the two models. In comparison with the model D, the model F yields smaller M^^〜_ Λ and larger M^^-_ Λ, reflecting the stronger Majorana exchange force and the stronger ΛN-ΣN coupling tensor force. Final results of M^*_ Λ/M_ Λ are 0.85 for D and 0.79 for F. In view of the effective Λ mass inferred from observed properties of the single particle potential for Λ, the model D interaction seems to be more adequate.
