Meson Productions at Large Transverse Momentum in Core-Valence Parton Model

A quark parton model with an impulse approximation is presented for describing from the small momentum to large momentum phenomena in the inclusive reaction. An annihilation process by quark-antiquark collision and a pair creation process by gluon-gluon collision are assumed to be dominant. By making use of these two diagrams we can explain the particle ratios in addition to the various large p_T-distributions at FNAL and CERN-ISR. Our model calculation suggests that gluon collisions are playing an important role as well as quark-antiquark annihilation process.
