We study various source functions in the identical boson exchange effect. Using three typical source functions in hadronic interferometry, we analyse the data of the NA27 Collaboration and the AFS Collaboration. It is found that a power function of the Lorentzian distribution as source function gives a better chi-squared value than a Gaussian distribution. A combined form, an exponential function times a polynomial, and other functions are also examined.
