Single particle distributions and two-particle correlations in high energy proton-nucleus collisions are studied by the use of cluster cascade model. It is shown in case of the independent emission of clusters, the average charged multiplicity from a cluster <k> is about 1.4, which is consistent with the analysis of p-p experiments and that charged particles emitted from different clusters make a marked contribution to the two-particle correlation in proton-nucleus collisions contrary to the case in p-p collisions. The mean free path of cluster in a nucleus is required to lengthen with the increase of the energy of incident particle to describe the energy dependence of experimental data.
