Production Mechanism of Pion and Kaon in S+Pb Reaction at 200 GeV/c

The correlation data for identical pions and kaons produced in S+Pb collisions at 200 GeV/c by NA44 Experiment are analysed by theoretical formulae with the long range correlation. It is found that interaction range (the root mean square (rms)) of K^-K^- is smaller than that of K^+K^+. R_<rms>(K^-K^-) ap (5.2~6 fm)<R_<rms>(K^+K^+) ap (7~7.5 fm). This suggests that in nuclear collisions the anti u-quarks are produced in smaller space region than the u-quarks. Moreover, formulae of the Coulomb wave function correction are presented. The corrections to data of pions and kaons are also discussed, to confirm the above results.
