Hadrons and Topological Charge from Magnetic Currents of Gauge Field

A series of works on light hadron spectrum and topological charge in maximally projected abelian gauge field and monopole dominating gauge field on SU(2) and SU(3) lattices are summarized and reported. It is shown that the fields keep strong driving force for chiral symmetry breaking as well as confinement. Topological structure of the fields is also examined. Studies on topological charge and zero-mode of fermion operator show that they couple to monopoles. A preliminary result of a study of abelian part of topological charge is also presented.
