A 75-year-old woman developed various interesting symptoms which seemed to exhibit components typical of Cotard's syndrome. The most outstanding feature was a delusion of nonexistence as part of a depressed state. The background of the disease was thought to line in her natural temperament, real experience of loss, and overall diffuse cerebral hypofunction concomitant with aging. The Cotard's syndrome itself did not improve at all but the intensity of problematic behaviors such as her refusal to take food orally and wandering subsided very much with the support of her family.
