The effects of form and materials on the mode of accessory vibrations of the electromechanical ceramic transducer were tested. The accessory vibrations became dominant with the increase of pliability of the vibration system as a whole. The pliability of the connecting bar to the micromanipulator is one of the determining factors for the generation of accessory vibrations. Brass, aluminium and acrylic acid resin bars were tested as the materials having different rigidity. It is concluded that the rigidity of the system as far as possible is necessary for designing the mechanical stimulator probe having the minimal accessory vibration.
