Three fungal trichothecenes, verrucarin A, roridin A and 8-β-hydroxyroridin E, were isolated as callus-initiating promoters from Myrothecium sp. 301. These trichothecenes promoted callus induction, synergistically coupled with a low concentration of 2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.
