This paper reports measurements and characterizations of broadband (64 MHz) Television White Space (TVWS) channel centering at 670 MHz. The measurements have been carried out in small- and medium-size mixed office and lab indoor environments in Singapore recently. BPSK signaling as well as continuous wave (CW) are transmitted to identify channel characteristics of multipath delay and path loss for both line-of-sight (LOS) and non-LOS (NLOS) transmissions. Rays are extracted from received time-domain power delay profiles. In comparison to classic Saleh-Valenzuela channel model, new findings include that ray clusters may appear before the strongest clusters and rays may appear before the strongest ray in a cluster. Based on this observation an impulse response channel model is proposed and parameters are provided. The root-mean-square (RMS) delay spreads are found between 16 to 32 ns for LOS and 30 to 40 ns for NLOS in small-size office and lab environment, and is found about 35 ns for LOS and 41 ns for NLOS in medium-size indoor environment. Path loss characteristics show strong waveguide effect for TVWS frequencies in small-size indoor environments. The measured attenuation exponential constant of both LOS and NLOS is about 2.02 and 2.09, respectively, in small-size indoor environment, and it is about 3.16 and 3.56 in medium-size environment.
