In this paper, we present a new approach for exact modeling of inter-symbol interference (ISI) in 60GHz channel. The 60GHz channel is approximated by a two-path plus Saleh-Valenzuela (TSV) type clustered model with uniform ray arrival rate and frequency-selective Nakagami fading. The transmitter is a binary phase shift keying (BPSK) link and the receiver is a maximal ratio combining (MRC) Rake. It is shown that the accuracy of conventional Gaussian approximation (GA) of ISI is channel dependent and can be poor in such channels. The exact expression of error rate equation developed by us based on characteristic function (CF) method let us a reliable way for accurate performance evaluation of such systems.
