Since the opening of Tokai University Hospital, five cases with foreign bodies in the bladder were observed. One of these cases was due to a stab wound of the bladder and another one was caused by a vesical stone originating from suturing of the bladder wall with silk thread. In the other three cases, foreign bodies were inserted with the aim of masturbation. In the part, it has been said that foreign bodies inserted in the bladder for masturbation were mostly candles, hairpins, and celluloid products, but in the three cases reported here, they were a silicon tube, vinyl-covered wire, and a detachable screwdriver head, which indicates that the kinds of foreign bodies have changed with changes in daily necessities.
