Ternary Phase Diagram of the YO_<1.5>-BaO-CuO System and the In Situ Observation of Crystal Growth

The ternary phase diagram of the YO_<1.5>-BaO-CuO system was proposed based on the in situ observation of the transformation structures and their reaction temperatures in the growth process of YBa_2Cu_3O_<7-y> crystal from self-flux of various compositions. This phase diagram enables us to explain many phenomena in the growth process of YBa_2Cu_3O_<7-y> single crystals, such as flux flow and concentration deviation.
