Electroluminescence in Perylene-and-Tetracene-Doped Anthracene Films

Electroluminescence (EL) in anthracene films simultaneously doped with perylene and tetracene was investigated under AC fields. The spectral distribution and intensity of EL can be controlled by changing the mole fractions of perylene and tetracene for anthracene. At the suitable mole fraction of dopants, the color of EL was varied from blue to green by changing the frequency from 50 Hz to 900 Hz. The radiant emittance of 0.5 mW/cm^2 was obtained at the applied voltage of 100 V (50 Hz). The power conversion efficiency was approximately 0.03% (W/W).
