概要
- 論文の詳細を見る
Mesophyll chloroplasts were isolated from leaves of a Na^+-requiring, NAD-malic enzyme type, dicotyledonous C_4 plant, Amaranthus tricolor L. The chloroplasts converted pyruvate to phosphoenolpyruvate under illumination, and the conversion was stimulated by Na^+ . This observation may explain the requirement for Na^+ of some C_4 plants.
