The efl'ective potential of an imptrrity in a k = p scherne is derived in two-dimensional graphitesheet. XVhen the potential range is stnaI[er than the lattice constant, it has an off-diagonal tnatrixe[etnerut between K and K' points cort?parrabJe to the diatgonal element. With the increase of therange, this off-diagonal elernent decreases rapidly and the diagonal element for envelopes at Aand B sutes becornes identicsrl. The crossover between these two reginaes occurs arotrnd the rangesnaaller than the lattice constant. In the latter regitne, back scattering between states with '.kand -k vanishes identically for the bands crossing the Fermi level in the absence of a magneticfield, leading to 2111 extremely large condtrctivity, The absence of the back scattering disappearsin tnagnetic fields, giving rise to a htrge positive taaagnetoresistance.
