Enerxv Levels and conductivities are calculated in a GaAs AI.Gl.-,ASsur>erlattice in mamnetic fields arr>tied normal to the sur>erlattice direction. Effectsof intersubband mixinss are shown to be imr>ortant and modify' the level structureconsiderably especially in strong magnetic fields. The results are compared withrecent experiments of Chang et at. and a reasonable agreement is obtained if anelectron concentration sli:htl>' hiuher than that determined experimentally isassumed. Transr>ort in a model s>'stem with weak interla>'er cour>Jinxs is alsodiscussed.
