The Monte Carlo method for correcting the effect of multiple scattering inCompton profile measurements has been extended to take account of the geometryof collimators. This procedu?"e is applied to experimental Compton profiles ofaluminum measured with 59.54 keV y-rays for various sarnple thickness. It isfound that the corrected Compton profiles are independent of' the sample thicknesswithin experimental errors. Tl?ree theoretical Contpton profiles for aluminum arecompared with the experimental one.
