Electrical conductivity o of liquid Te and its dilute alloys containing Co, Cr, Auand Ag has been measured up to l500'C and up to 1100 bar. The measuredtemperature coefficient of o at constant pressure, (21 In o/8T)., is positive andlarge near the melting temperature, decreases with increasing temperature andbecomes negative above 850'C. On the other hand, the estimated temperaturecoefficient of o at constant volume, (21 In o/8T)., remains positive even at hightemperature. These and other features of the tennperature and pressure depend-ences of o for liquid To are discussed in cormection with the tonic structure. Thechange in o with addition of transition and noble metals to liquid Te is alsodiscussed on the basis of the concept of d-resonant scattering and sp-dhybridization.
