ESR Study of Pressure-Quenched Monoclinic Te_<0.4>Se_<0.6>

ESR spectra for the pressure-qtrenched monoclinic T(lll0.4S(1110.6 are naeasured at the attnosphericpressure and low tenuperatures. The observed spectrurn is composed of two difl'erent signalswith large anisotropy, wlaose principal values of y-tensors are (g., g., g.) : (2.07,1.90,2.26) (A-component) and (.q., g., g.) : (2.19,1.89,2.14) (B-cornponent). It was fovmnd that the directionof the principal axes x and y are nearly parallel to the short and long bonds on the ac-plane,and z is parallel to #-axis. We discuss a possible model for the structure of these paramagneticdefect states.
