Energy Levels and γ-Ray Transitions in ^<149>Pm

Gamma-gamma angular correlations have been measured for 25 cascading transi-tions in "'Pm following the decay of 1.7 -h"'Nd. The spins of the 288.21-, 425.30-and 515.66-keV levels in "'Pm have been assigned as 9/2, 7/2 and 9/2, respectively.The EX/Ml mixing ratios of 15 transitions have been derived. A new level at 872.32keV has been introduced from the results of 7-ray singles and y-y coincidencemeasurements. Experimental level energies and [2/Ml mixing ratios have been com-pared with predictions based on current theoretical models.RADIOACTIVITY "'Nd [from "'Nd(n,)z)] ; measured E., I, 77- coin,77(0); "'Pm deduced levels, J, [2/Ml mixing ratios.
