Dielectric Spectra in Charge Ordeing State of Pr_<1-x>Ca_xMnO_3

We measured dielectric spectra in the claarge ordering state of Pr) .Ca.INzInO3 (0.30< x<0.50), for frequencies of 1OOHz'-;151VIHz. Observed dielectric spectra were analyzed tnsing theDebye model. The effective ntrraaber of electrons (n/rn) is nearly ternperatttre independent.Dissipation, 7, drastically increases with coolirag. Tenaperattrre dependence is alnaost the sarneas resistivity ctrrve. This indicates that the hopping of polarons doraainate both dc- and ac-electrical transport in the charge orderiuag phase. Based on the stnall-polaron-hoppirag tnodel,.r-dependerat activation energy is estitaaated, which reaches 21 znaxiuntrna at x ! 0,33. The 'y-valtredecreases in magnetic fields, btrt does not scale with rnagnetization.
