Fine Structures in Luminescence Spectra of NaNo_2 Crystal in the Ultraviolet Region

Luxvainescence spectra of NaN0. single crystal associated with 'B,+'A.transition in NO; have been nteasured for the E//a, E//b and E//c polarizations.Intensities of the series of sharp vibronic lines are described by a Poisson distribu-tion I,x(e-'s"/nl) 'x'ith sz4. These lines are interpreted by a sinaple configurationcoordinate model. It has been found that the profile of the phonon side band ofthe E//a luminescence is nearly a mirror image of that of the absorption withrespect to the zero-phonon line, whjle the profile of the side band of the E//bluminescence is quite different from that of the absorption. The latter result isinterpreted in terxns of the exciton-phonon bound state. Two extra series of weaksatellite bands have been found and are interpreted as the vibronic lines due toisotopic species N"Og'- and N"0"0"?
