X-Ray Study on Low-Temperature Phases in K_2ZnCl_4

X-ray scattering of K_2ZnCl_4 was studied near the transition temperature at 145K, by the use of a source of synchrotron radiation and ordinary X-ray source. Characteristic diffuse scattering was observed above the transition temperature near superlattice reflections which appears below 145K. An incommensurate phase was not found just above 145K.
