On the basis of the reported result that the SO. ion behaves as an order-disorderunut, the phase transition of LiCsS0. is discussed by the order parameter-shear strainx. coupled model. Constants appeared in the model free energy are estimated: Thevalue of the fourth order coefficient of order parameter is extremely small. Tempera-lure variation of the spontaneous strains x., x., x., and x, intensities of Bragg reflec-lions, and the elastic constant c.. are explained by the present model.dielectrics, phase transition, ferroelasticity, phenomenological theory
