The non-perturbative renormalization of the weak annihilation vertex of the pseudoscalar Qq^^- quarkonium is investigated in the limit M(Q)→∞. It is shown that the divergent quantity ψ(0) in the van Royen-Weisskopf formula should be replaced by lim_<r→0> Z_1(r)ψ(r), where Z_1(r)=Γ(1-γ)Γ(1+γ)α^<1+γ>(2mr)^<γ-1>/Γ(2γ+1),γ=(1-α^2)^<1/2>, α=4α_s/3 and m is the mass of the quark q.
