Interfacial properties near the roughening transition temperature, T_B, are studied for the modified discrete Gaussian model by means of the renormalization group in the presence of the gravitational field. It is shown that the divergence of the interface width at T_B is suppressed by the gravitational field and a is the lattice constant. The interfacial profile was found to be expressed by the error function.
