Effects of hydrodynamic interaction (vertex correction) to the two heat-mode contributions to the sound attenuation and dispersion in a critical fluid are studied. The resulting modification of those of earlier mode-coupling theories is inadequate to account for the existing discrepancies between theory and experiment.
