Strong Meson Dominance Model and the G-Parity Non-Conserving Weak Interactions

• β-decay interactions are derived on the strong meson dominance model in which, we claim, all strong mesons should make the main contributions to β-decay. By taking π,ρ,δ(960), π_N(1016), A_1(1070) and B(1220) as candidates for the intermediary mesons, and by assuming the weak interactions of V-A type between these mesons and the lepton currents, we are led to the β-decay interactions of V and A without momentum, and S,PS,T and PT with momentum, which have the same forms with those given by Weinberg. We are, therefore, led to predict the necessary existence of the interactions PT and S which violate the G-parity conservation of the respective currents. We are able to deduce the interaction T which leads to the weak magnetism in the correct value and the interaction PS which corresponds to the induced pseudoscalar already well known. The predicted existence of the interaction S violates the conservation of the vector current.
