Non-Leptonic Decay in the Theory of O(4) Symmetry

In the theory of O(4) symmetry, we formulate the treatment of the weak decay of hyperons under the assumption that both of the observed Λ and Σ are the mixture of two states with ζ=0 and 1, respectively. We adopt the Yukawa-type interaction instead of current-current interaction, and assume that the interaction type of each term is limited to either V or A type. These recipes turn out to be very favourable to the suppression of undesired processes with |ΔS|>1, and at the same time lead us to a Hamiltonian by which we can reasonably understand the experimental feature of non-leptonic hyperon decays.
