QED Two-loop Vertex Correction and the Real Particle Emission Factors

We review the QED two-loop vertex correction and the real particle emission factors at the time-like high energy. From the known imaginary part of the QED two-loop vertex correction, the real part is obtained in terms of the dispersion relation. Also obtained is the contribution of vacuum polarization due to a fermion different from the external fermion. The vertex correction shows the infrared divergence and contains the mass-singularity. The former singularity is exactly cancelled by that due to the soft photon emission processes; but the cancellation of the latter singularity by the soft photon and electron-pair emission processes is only in part. Finally, these virtual and real two-loop corrections are combined and applied for the e^+e^- annihilation into hadrons and for the time-like muon vertex.
