Derivatives of Baryon Trajectories at W=0

It is shown that an analytic property of Khuri amplitudes for πN scattering gives some restrictions on derivatives of baryon-Regge trajectories at W=0, W being the c. m. energy of πN scattering. Denoting the parent baryon trajectory by α_0(W)and its daughter trajectories by α_n(W) (n=1, 2, 3, ・・・), we get the following formula: with α_n(W)=α-n+α_n′(0)W+(1/2)α_n"(0)W^2+… α_n′(0)=a(α-n+1/2),(1/2)α_n"(0)=b_0+b_1(α-n+1/2)^2+a^2(α-n+1/2),(n=0,1,2,…) where α_0(0)=α, and a, b_0 and b_1 are arbitrary constants. This formula agrees completely with the mass formula broken SL_2,c derived by Domokos, Domokos and Suranyi. We also obtain an explicit formula for a reduced Regge residue at W=0, expressed in terms of α and its reduced residue γ_0(0).
