The structure including absolute stereochemistry of "LB", one of the volatile constituents of "San-shion" (the roots of <I>Ligularia</I> species), was found to be (1<I>S</I>,4<I>R</I>,5<I>S</I>,7<I>R</I>,10<I>R</I>)-5,11-epoxyguaiane.
