Twenty-six cases of the comminuted fractures of the distal end of the radius were reviewed. All cases were evaluated according to Gartland's assessment. 18 cases had good or excellent results. In the conservative treatment, the reposition of palmar-tilt angle and shortening of the radius was important, and we were impressed with the preventive treatment of shortening.
