Treatment of Non-union of Fractures of the Humeral Shaft.

20 cases of non-union of the humeral shaft were treated for last 10 years, 11 patients being male and 9 female. There were 11 cases in the middle third and the middle distal third of humeral shaft. 7 cases of those were transverse fractures. Main cause of non-union was unsuitable operation at primary treatment. A-O plate is too rigid to fix the fracture of the humeral shaft. We consider that Amako-plate fixation with inlay bone grafting is a good method for treatment of non-union of fractures of the humeral shaft.
