Diabetic Osteopathy (diabetic neuroarthropathy, diabetic neuro-osteo-arthropathy, diabetic Charcot's joint) has been found more frequently in recent years ever since Jordan first described Charcot's joint in diabetic neuropathy in 1936.A 41-year-old woman presented herself with pain, in her right knee redness, swelling and a high fever. She had been treated with knee orthosis for diabetic neuroarthropathy of the knee. We suspected a knee infection, and treated her with continuous irrigation, but found no bacteria in the culture. We performed arthrodesis of the knee joint. We will report on diabetic neuroarthropathy and our literaty comments on our recent studies.
