In this study, three kinds of commercial dental ceramic blocks: Cercon^[○!R], Vita In-ceram^[○!R] YZ and e.max^[○!R] ZirCAD, which are all yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP), were designed to be immersed in the 4% acetic acid at 80℃ with different surface treatments. The results showed that surface treatments, including blasting and polishing, suppress the phase transformation. It means that surface treatments can effectively reduce zirconia degradation.
