Discrimination between ″Banxia(半夏)″ and ″Tiannanxing(天南星)″ based on rbcL Sequences

To discriminate Banxia (半夏) from Tiannanxing (天南星) more clearly by the genetic information, we analyzed a part of rbcL genes of Banxia, Tiannanxing, their related natural medicines, and their original plants. On the basis of the assays, seven types of sequences were recognized and the original plant species of Banxia-related natural medicines were identified more exactly.
