In this paper, we study the performance of handoff algorithm in a multi-hop wireless system. In our model, there are two Access Points (AP) and a moving Terminal Repeater (TR) as a Relay Terminal. A Mobile Terminal (MT) completes its handoff procedure from one serving AP to adjacent AP by making a relay handoff through TR. This model can extend network coverage between low mobility wireless systems. The performance criteria are based on average number of handoffs and outages due to mobility from AP to a moving TR to AP2. Numerical results from computer analysis are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the multi-hop network.
