Modified Dor's Operation of Left Ventricular Inferior Wall Aneurysm Following Old Myocardial Infarction

A left ventricular inferior wall aneurysm rarely complicates an old myocardial infarction. Surgical indications in inferior wall aneurysms, like those in anterior wall aneurysms, have been determined based on a comprehensive assessment of the clinical state and the coronary artery disease, left ventricular function and mitral regurgitation (MR). End-ventricular circular patch reconstruction (EVCPR) such as Dor's operation has recently been performed. Here, we present a case of a 76-year-old male with a left ventricular inferior wall aneurysm, who underwent modified Dor's operation. Simultaneously, coronary artery bypass grafting was performed using left internal thoracic artery (LITA) and a saphenous vein. The postoperative course was uneventful, and the patient was discharged with a favorable prognosis.
