Our cryosurgical experiences during a seven-year period were summarized. Thirtyeight benign and 20 malignant tumors were treated. Among the cases of benign tumors, 28 showed good or excellent results. In the remaining 10, the results were unsatisfactory. On the other hand, among the cases of malignant tumors, 12 were treated for the purpose of palliation, with satisfactory results in 10. Cryosurgery for primary cure was employed in eight cases, with excellent results in seven. If a surgeon employscryosurgery, he should use it in each case for specific purpose, such as primary cure, palliation or trial.
