The effects on skin flap survival of 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) which affects the adrenergic system were studied in rat. Flap survival rate was considerably improved by the topical percutaneous application of 6-OHDA (500mM) at seven days before flap elevation than without delay procedure. No significant side effect was detected and this drug would appear to qualify for clinical application.
