• Zinc deficiency in Zea mays L. markedly reduced the level of GAl_1 but not GA_<20>,suggestng blockage of 3β -hydroxylation. The level of IAA was also decreased although not as markedly. Castasterone was affected less than IAA by zinc deficiency.
