Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectral Studies on some Anhydro Furanose Derivatives

The nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of fourteen anhydro and dihydrofuranose derivatives were measured and it was found that in these compounds the coupling between anomeric C_1 hydrogen and C_2 hydrogen was very small. This does not coincide with the Karplus equation. The conformational structures of these compounds were discussed.
