エゾカタビロオサムシ(青森県西津軽郡森田村産), カブトムシ(青森県三戸郡南部町相内産および新潟県両津市産), およびツヤハダクワガタ(青森県三戸郡新郷村戸来岳産)の雄の染色体を観察した.エゾカタビロオサムシの精原細胞では染色体数が2n, 28であつて, 雄へテロ(XY)と考えられる.最小の点状染色体がY染色体である.カブトムシとツヤハダクワガタの第1精母細胞では染色体数が共にn, 10であつて, 性染色体対(Xy_p)を識別できる.この報告は"青森県の昆虫に関する調査(弘前大学動物形態学研究室)"の第19報である.
