A mechanism of the magnetization plateau observed in the high-field magnetizatiom measurement of the organic S=1 spin ladder system BIP-TENO is investigated. Assuming possible lattice distortion, we propose a possible scenario of the plateau formation on the basis of the bond-alternating ladder. Some unsolved problems are also discussed.
