Deconvolution of ESR Spectra and their Light-Induced Effect in a-Si:H

It is shown that ESR spectra of dangling bonds in a-81:H for glow discharge samples aredeconvo[uted into two conaponents dtre to nortnatl dangling bonds and H-related dangling bonds.The component f'or H-related dangling bonds has anisotropic y-values and anisotropic hyperfinecottpling constants of 'H. The distance between the dangling bond site and hydrogen site isestimated to be 2 A, using a tight binding theory. The noruaaal dangling bonds constitute about60% of the total spin density, while the H-related dangling bonds give abottt 40% ['or glowdischarge sarnples. The glow disch?trge sa?mples were also illtrrninated by a xenon larnp with6OOrnW/cm' at room temperattrre. Tlue norunal dangling bonds and H-related dangling bondsare created a[naost eqtrally by illttrnination.
